I want to make a protein tube out of PVC pipe to go on the bottom of a feeder... How wide would the pipe need to be? And how can I make sure that all the protein wont just run out. Thanks in advance

I've used 4" pvc pipe.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Ive used a 4 inch tube and a t fitting at the bottom with some PVC extensions on the bottom of the T cut at a 45 degree angle. You cna use a toilet flange to attach it to the barrel. Been working well for 5 years.

Needs to be 39 inches above the ground to keep coons out and fawns in.

There is this on youtube with descriptions of a nice design. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv5SmLHh3mY. You can use even larger than 4 if you think you have a dense population. Good luck!
