When you pose with a harvested animal and the hunter who took it, is there a correct/proper order for you to be in? Towards the back of the animal with the hunter towards the front? Front and the hunter behind you?

IF I wanted the guide in the pic at all, I would want to be in the front with my game. Think of all the sports teams pics. The coaches are off to the sides and behind while the players are in the front and middle. Wait a minute, I'm not a guide...sorry.

I really don't like having my picture taken, and unless the customer forces the issue, I don't get involved.
Some clients insist, some don't.
To me, it is their moment, not mine. JMO.

It's all up to the hunter in my opinion. Some view their guide as the person who cooks and drops them off at their stand, others want to spend every moment with him and really appreciate him working for them. If you think the guide did a good job and want a pic with him after you get your trophy, then make sure he is in a couple of the pics. If you don't think of him much as a guide, then he doesn't need pics.
It's all up to the hunter. If you look at some of the sites who post pics of their hunters, like mcohunts.com and Hadley Creek Outfitters in Illinois, there are a few pics with the guides but mostly there are pics with the hunter alone.

I think you kind of want to either be on the side with the hunter holding or near the head or the guide be kind of behind them.
Usually I don't get asked to be in a photo. Which is fine and I don't expect it.

It all depends. We need a little more information. Is the guide an ugly old man or cute little lady?

I guess I missed 7mag's chime in.
But in any case, I'll actually be the hunter and "the guide" is actually the landowner. I'd like to take a picture with him and anything we might harvest this year. It'll make a good memory and I just wanted it to look right. I guess I should a been more clear. Thanks for the opinions so far. I'll keep checking back.

Well, get a small tripod and a camera with a timer and that's all that you really need. You can get a cheap tripod that will work over at Wal-Mart and most digital cameras, even the cheaper ones, come with a auto timer of some sort.

i hate it on the tv shows when a guy shot a huge buck or trophy and the guide runs faster than him and pick the animal up first. kinda rude in my opion but all them tv shows are for the yuppys and rich fok .

That boy wanted me to be in that picture and I was not going to argue the point.
My two fondest memories from those hunts was the look on SaginawHunter's son Steven's face when he killed his javelina and the look on Jordan's face when you all got back that afternoon with that one.

Believe it or not I am glad to call you a friend. I do not share your sense of humor most of the time, but you really are a good person and I have enjoyed the times we have been able to share a camp or a booth at the Arlington Sportsmans Show. You are a good man, and I am sure that the young folks you come in contact with have a really good teacher that actually cares about teaching them about how to be a good person.
