Where's the windows? Gonna need some short chairs in that one! LOL, just kidding, looks like a good start my friend. Made them out of wood yrs ago, now all ours are made out of all metal and are tower stands. No need to worry about wood rotting out any more,

Seems like an all metal tower stand would be a lighting hazard.

Looks good so far, but I learned my lesson a long time ago and only use treated plywood and lumber on the floor of my blinds.

I was Gunna use all treated wood, but then I realized how heavy it was going to be and changed my mind since I am going to be by myself setting it up.

Elevated or not? The last one I built was elevated. I basically just cut a square section out of one of the walls below the window and hinged it, then on the inside, put a flange plywood all the way around so that the door would have something to close against.

Go back and change out the floor to plywood.

Frame the inside with 2x2's.

Use Deerview windows and door kit. (in the classifed thread)

Use corrugated tin for the skin and the roof.

This will be relative light wieght and last 20+ years without maintenance.

Use spray paint to paint the outside.

looks good, make sure to seal/paint it well and cover all your seams. Chipboard isn't going to last long.

Looking good so far. I echo STX on using treated plywood. God speed.

I went this route because I have to assemble it my self on top of a hill that I can't drive to. The treated lumber Weighs so much.

I can relate to the Hauling..;-) If it wasn't for my son-in-law helping... would have been a very long day for me too. I'm sure if you asked around and traded a day or night of hunting, someone would volunteer to help you. (yeah, I bribed the son-in-law...;-)

Looks Great! I am also going to start building me a wooden blind really soon. Other projects have gotten in the way and cost me the summer. Question: At what height did you put your windows from the floor? I know everything is relevant but what is a "good" distance to the bottom of the windows?

I did mine at 37" only because all my shots are going to be down hill. I would take the chair that you are going to use and see what height works best for you.

You will rue the day you put that type of wood for the skin of your blind. I don't care how much you paint it, its going to warp, pop, and fall apart. If you notice when they use those sheets in contruction, they are NEVER used for the exterior.
