I know that bucks tend to look much larger while in velvet.

Anyone have any hard horn pics and velvet pics to compare?

let me dig some up but ive always subtrated 2-3% on rough scoring in velvet to get a solid guess on what one should be close to in hard horn.

Most will loose on average from between 3%-4%. A few might be less and a some will be more.

Mass is what most people see lost from velvet to hard horn. Tine length can be difficult to judge on velvet bucks also.
