Hunted near Rule. Took all day Sunday to get a limit. Went out this morning and got off less than a dozen shots by 9:30 A.M. Slowest hunting I’ve had in years.

Hunted south of Santa Anna in Coleman County a lot of fellows got their limits. Saw lots of birds and had a wonderful hunt with my buddies and my son. Ate like kings!!!

Hunted near Tuscola. Son and I each got a limit, but it took the morning and evening to do it yesterday. This morning he got 7 and I got 3.

First year in a long time I didn't have any hunters come out opening weekend, so we made it a family hunt, 4 of us limited out yesterday morning.

Me and my buddy walked to our spot and on the way we had to walk across a dam on a pond and jumped up 60-70 blue wings. We had 1 box apiece thinking we could shoot each of our limits with that. But we thought wrong after we blew threw them we Ended up shooting some BB and #2 shot. Haha. Killled 1 bird on a dead tree 62 yards away. 1 Pellet got him. Ended up with our limits

30 doves, 4 ringneks so far.

Limited out today. Lots of birds around San Angelo

three guys two limits 45 total. I never have seen the birds fly as good as they did this weekend. Was a lot of fun in Hamilton. Bought my first Mojo and had so many birds land into "JOE" was crazy. The scizzor tails didn't like him and the Martins hazed it over the tank

Just me, 3 birds saw, 2 birds took, 4 rounds expended.

I winged my first one and had to shoot it again.





And later that night 2 birds ate'd with bacon.

got 9 on Sunday morning. Not to bad for hunting public.

I also got my limit in Hamilton . About 7 miles southeast off of FM 1241. Had my limit by 7:30 AM almost 2 Boxes of shells . Best i have seen it in Hamilton

Hunted in the Richland area, didn't get a lot of birds, but my son got his first and we had a good time.

10 guys 10 limits sunday morning. my gun was back in the case by 7:30am. 6 guys 5 limits yesterday evening. Done by 6:30pm. i would post pics but dont want to get chastised by all the forum barneys.

13 opening day and 18 total on 4 hunts. Worst start to season in 9 years. Long way to go still

Limited out early went home got the girlfriend she hunted with me got her first bird, then finished her limit for her. Had a great time made some great memories also.

Me and my buddy limited out pretty quick, just seemed to be in the right spot at the right time.....

Hunted Sept 1 and 2 near Castroville with my brother. Limited both days - all whitewings except 1 mourner. Fields were corn, maize, and brush areas. First day flights were massive, reduced the second day but still a lot.

Great opener!! Hunters took 150+ limits on Sunday. Front blew thru Sun night but still managed around 100 limits on Monday.

All in all it was a success!! After seeing what I saw today I think we may have picked up some new birds though
