Nice hog! I've heard a lot of reports of hogs out during the day and especially in the evenings now. Is that consistant with what you were seeing? I know they will come out early when it's cold just hoping they stick to that behavior pattern for awhile!!

Would you like a new box of Win. 375 shells. It is a long story, but I ended up with a box of the things, because someone bought them, and thought they were 375 H&H shells.
I would be more than happy to get these to you thru the grapevine if you want them.

I used to have the opposite problem, call the gunshops, do you have any 375 winchester, "yep", are you sure, it is not the same as 375 H&H, "yep, I know, we have it". I drive out to pick it up and what do they lay on the counter, 375 H&H. Happened to me twice, two different gunshops, two different years. I had to mail order a couple boxes from Grafs this year. Yep, I would use it. My 375 is not my primary rifle, but it is my favorite so I do use it for a hunt or two every year.

Well these are 375 Win. 200 grain Power Points. It is a Full Box, and they won't work in my 38-55. Let me start talking to some of the folks, and we will get them to you like we did the crane hunting tape.

Rifle is a Marlin 375 Winchester. Took two shots to drop it. One in the shoulder, one in the neck. And no exit wounds! Not the biggest hog I have taken, but definately the toughest. The hardest thickest shield of fat on the shoulders than I had ever seen before. It was only about 20 degrees when I took that picture, but it dropped to teens fast, and it was 10 degrees at the camphouse when I went back out to hunt Thursday morning.
Nice Marlin and nice hog. Those rifles are really rare thses days.
