Hey guys, just want to clear something up. Out where i'm going bird hunting there is a man made pond with a feeder for fish, my question is is there a certain distance that i must stay away from the pond? Thanks,

My opinion, and this is just me, is that it depends on what is in the feeder. If it's just fish food, I wouldn't worry about it unless there tend to be a lot of doves eating it.

If there is a huge flock of doves coming to the feeder every time the thing goes off, I wouldn't hunt anywhere near it just to be on the safe side. Best case scenario would be to make sure the feeder is empty/non-functional while hunting.

If this is on private land, no public access I would not worry about,
but if it's. on some kind of lease where a sea of folks know about it, or if near
a public road, I wud stay clear. Doves diet is mainly grain products, croton,
cracked corn, sunflower, sage, old milo fields, etc....
40 plus yrs of hunting never been hassled by local GW!

If the dove are going to the feeder to eat, and you shoot those dove, that is hunting over bait. No dove feeding there you should be fine.

No feed falls on the ground. All the purina fish pellets are blown out in the water and those catfish eat it up pretty fast. Thanks again
