Fantastic I know the feeling I finally got mine 2 years ago!!! I'm now 65 it's a shame you need to be 1/2 gone before you can afford it. Congrulations

Thanks everyone.
There is a small pond on the property that still has some water on it. I may look at digging it larger in the future.
My dad and my brother are going to work tomorrow on setting up a couple feeders and cameras.
Here is the hard part, this all came about 10 days ago now. I closed remotely, I have not even seen the land/property and probably will not see it until opening day of bow season. I am too tied up with work and live about 3 hours from there. My brother and parents live within 20 minutes or so.
They will start feeding me pictures soon (hopefully) and I will pass any along to here!

Congratulations, it's a great feeling. Getting setup and the expectations of what is to come. On your own place it doesn't get any better. I sold me 622 acres in Midland County and couldn't be happier about it. So much more goes into being a landowner than I thought. Especially if you are wildlife tax exempt

I've been dreaming of getting my own place, and today it finally happened. Its a small start, but I closed on 40 acres in western Wichita County! Mostly mesquite; can't wait to get some feeders and cameras out to see what we have.
Congrats!!! No better feeling than owning your own piece of property in this great nation. I love my little piece of heaven. Enjoy it.
