My two most used rifles for the last decade or so, have been a 257 Ackley, M70 action and Shilen barrel, and a M70 264Mag, with a Krieger barrel. I like them both, and probably use the 257 60% of the time. I've always had a soft spot for the 264, and this one is accurate and deadly. But I always look at the tow cases next to each other and am amazed, given the size difference, how little difference in performance there is in the field. The 264 shoots 125gr Partitions at about 3300fps. the Ackley shoots 120gr Speer Hot Cores at about 3050fps.

A 1953 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight chambered in .308 Win. It is not the most accurate gun I've ever shot. Nor the prettiest. But everytime I hold it I feel like I'm touching history. The gun is 19 years older than I am. Just a neat rifle. The caliber is alright, too.

Do they sell there own builds or do you have to supply the action, stock etc....? I checked their website, the barrels are crazy cool but I didn't see any finished rifles for sale.

As far as caliber goes, .270, but I have a few different rifles in .270 and would hate to have to pick just one!

He builds orders prolly could do it all I send my rifles, he orders barrel, but you could call him and tell him what you want, Easiest thing is to buy a donor rifle or order custom action, stock and ship it to him. He is rebuilding my 22-250 into 220 swift right now, he did my .300 sendero last year, with plans for 25/06 sendero next, then a light weight 7 08, work is awesome just fluted a barrel for jgiles, caddokiller is also shipping a build job to Kampfeld.

Remington 280 model 700 mountain rifle. I like 140gr for whitetail and can upgrade to 150gr if I go after larger game. It is more than sufficient for anything in the states. It is probably a little overkill for WT's.
I also like my Ruger No. 1 in 25-06 for WT's.

Nope, don't even get a break, but will help. Anyone who's work is that good, but it would be an easy job!

Do you have any pics of your Sendero. I seem to remember a pic you posted a few months back but I thought that rifle was all blue. I'd just have to figure out what caliber I want next.

Remington Model 700 .243 Killed lots of animals with it. Very dependable and rugged. Got it when I was 12.
Sometimes I wonder if it will get to the point you bring an attorney with you out hunting.
