A friend of mine is wanting to harvest 10-15 axis on a low fence ranch before Oct. No lodging its a DIY hunt. You may be able to camp on the ranch. I'm not 100 percent sure of that. The ranch is on the Guadalupe river. 4 blinds and 4 feeders. Bow or rifle hunting. There is quite a few axis on the pace. Seen 25 or so a one evening last week just driving to the river. Also you can shoot all the hogs you want for free. There is a daily fee of 100 a hunter and if you harvest a buck its a flat rate of 1300. Doesn't matter if its 18 inches or gold medal. We seen 5 that were 27-30 inches last week. The does will be 300 a piece. Corn feeders have ran all year. You will see axis deer. Not a guaranteed hunt but the animals are on the ranch. Hunted this ranch with C3 Guide this past week. Great ranch and great landowners. C3 Guide will do everything he can to put you on an axis!

C3 finally talked me into hunt this ranch. Went tonight to see if I could get one with a bow. Just no bucks offered me the right shot I was looking for. Gonna try again maybe tomorrow evening. Will ne taking the .300 win mag. I will have one on the ground tomorrow. I could of shot 20 if I didnt have my bow. Wish I would have got a pic of my scenery for the evening. It was beautiful.
Live to hunt, forced to work!
