our neighbors next to our lease do not have the cover or water that our lease has, basically they have a crappy lease and we have one that holds most of the deer. what they are doing in the morning before the sun comes up are walking down the tree line and spooking the deer trying to get them moving onto their place, this year we have put up signs, last year I hollered from the blind and he heard me but the next morning he moved over to the next tree line and I expect the same thing this year. should I wait in the bushes with a bat, call the game warden, set a snare or what. They have also been caught pulling a deer under the fence before I was on the lease. we hunt with kids and these guys are really leaving a bad impression on them.

contact the landowner who is leasing, the last thing he is going to want is legal trouble, the ones doing it don't care so don't waste your time with them, go to the source and the decision maker and hopefully he is logical and morally sound.

that could be concidered hunter harassment..the landowner & GW should be all present for the discussion of this issue..either way, they need to be nailed to wall for that stupid crap

here is the update on our situation, we took the slow approach and posted no hunting and trespassing signs to let them know that we knew that they were spooking our deer before daybreak, well they send their landowner over to see ours and he says that they were offended by the signs, I think they know that they have been busted and are trying to cover their tails, what do yall think

Infrared trail cams... it's all about hard evidence. I'm a little confused about what's actually going on, but I say it's criminal trespassing. I'd definately be the first to call the game warden.

I have our GW on speed dial - and he would be there getting his own evidence for harrassment. Make the call and end it ASAP.

Are they doing all of this on your side or their side of the fence? They sound like idiots regardless.

I know most GW's are VERY busy this time of year but things like this need to be brought to their attention.

I agree with Maggie and Orn, get the GW involved, let him/her handle it. It is surprising the calming effect the presence of a GW has even from landowners. JMO.

If they're not crossing the property line there isn't anything that can be done. They can do anything they want on their lease. If they're caught pulling a deer across the fence, like you said happened previously, the landowner can file on them for trespassing, not you, only the landowner. This can be filed anywhere from a class c misdemeanor to a state jail felony. Like Maggie said GW's are very busy this time of year and this is a major part of what they're busy with. Get the landowner and GW together and they can figure out how the landowner wants to handle it.

I believe that is a criminal offense!
If the landowner can't solve the problem, I'd definately let the boys with the badges in on it!

I've heard of people who will get trash that can't be identified to a particuliar individual and scatter it on their lease. Cut down trees, and leave gates open to try to get these folks kicked off their lease. Not saying you should do it, and its probably illegal cause most stuff is now-a-days, but I have heard of folks to doing this.
