how many people will get a big surprise Saturday when the GW writes 'em up for shooting out of season?
And I wonder why the season isn't starting on Saturday?

Because the state legislature established the "Hunting" year from Sept. 1 to Aug 31, regardless of the day of the week. Hunting licenses and dove season always begin on Sept. 1st

I don't know why there's been this many posts about it starting on Sunday. Don't remember anyone being confused when it opened on a Thursday in 11'.

What kind of idiot would hunt Saturday the 31st? I mean I suppose one without a calendar... But if they do and get written up by the gw, I'd venture to say that it prolly won't be the only "surprise" they get in life...

we cant hunt on saturday? You can if you hunt East of IH35 in Bell co. We have special rules over there!
