I've hunted the crossbar several times, its off the Canadian river north of Amarillo. Although it has never produced for me, there is lots of wildlife. Had some muley doe walk in about 10 yards from me, have seen some big bucks, but they wouldnt come closer than about 80 yards from me. I also saw a mountain lion out there. Just wondered if anyone else has hunted it with any success. It is bow only by the way.

You have to get a permit from the blm downtown inthe plaza one building, third floor. They only allow 3 hunters a day and good days fill up fast. They will not let you have two consecutive days, most the time. I think they have let me have a friday saturday once. There is no camping on the ranch, but you can hike back to the river bottom and camp just outside.
