My son and I built this blind for our new lease. It's plywood construction and seals up tight. I used a cargo door from an RV for the door and deerview windows. Several coats of primer/paint. I used aluminum coil stock for the roof and put it on a 10' tower. I think it will be comfy on those blustery winter days in west texas.

Looks good. I love the 4x5 size... big enough for 2 adults, but not too big for hunting solo. I am in the process of finishing up one similar to yours. Good work!

Nice work. I like the corner shelf put high. Should be a good place to enjoy the season.

Where can you get that aluminum coil stock and about how much does it run?
Thanks.

I had it left over from a siding job I did years ago. Should be able to get it at any lumber yard but I have no idea what it costs now.

Can you buy 5x8 plywood or any material this size? You can cover a 4x5x6 with 5 sheets of 4x8. One sheet per 4' side then running the plywood horizontally on the 5' side puts the seam at window level - reducing the seam length. The seam is 5' minus the width of the window. It looks like the OP ran the plywood on the 5' side vertically and backed the seam with a 2x4... Another viable option.

I'm pretty sure I put the height at 42" to the bottom of the window.

Sad thing is I won't use it much. I mainly built it in case the wife wanted to go to the lease with me some weekend so we could sit comfortably. She's never hunted with me before so I'm not sure if that will happen or not. I guess if the weather is bad it will be nice also.
