You can sight them in. Why wouldn't you be able to? They make targets with grids on them that are 1 inch apart so that you can determine how much to change the scope. sighting in the rifle is 10x easier than shooting good groups with one.

I know I can do it, I always have. Besides me not liking to do it anyways, my weekends have become pretty busy, so was hoping to find someone I could just drop them off to and have them take care of it. Or even better someone that has their own range. If not its not that big of a deal I will just do it when I can.

taking it to a shop will result in a bore sight which will put you on paper. You will still have to fine tune to get zeroed.

Try your local shooting range. The place I shoot at in Houston offers sight-in service.

So who here would trust a rifle sighted in by someone else? I don't care how reputable they were, I would still feel obligated to verify point of impact before I took a rifle in the field hunting, in which case I might as well sight it in myself. To each their own I guess.

If I ever become to busy to sight my gun in before season I will either find a new hobby or a new job...

if you intend to hunt with them,
you need to shoot them yourself
before hunting anyway, and at the
distance you intend to shoot.

Man you guys are very opionionated. All he asked is where he could get it sighted in at. If you don't have an answer either say nothing or be nice.

IMHO - This is pretty solid advice!

I plan on shooting before I hunt. I got a local gunsmith to go ahead bore sight, and take them to the range sight them @ 100. For a great price. Now all I have to do shoot them a couple times make sure I'm on the money and hunt. I seem to spend more time and money sighting in than it cost me for him to do it.

I understand. You dont want to fiddle with it and you want to make sure its right and then go try yourself with just a couple of rounds. I bet the added time isnt much to site it in yourself but hey if you can save a few minutes then I guess thats worth it.

If you have a place to shoot, here is an easy sight in method that will use very little ammo.
1)Put up a large target at 50 yds.
2) Remove the bolt and look down the barrel to the target.
3) Center the target in the barrel, using enough sandbags to support your rifle without you holding it.
4) Adjust the crosshairs to the bulls eye without moving the rifle.
5) Shoot one round. (With the rifle against your shoulder of course)
6) Fit the rifle back on the sandbags with the scope aiming to the bulls eye just like it was before the recoil of your one shot.
7) Without moving the rifle, move the crosshairs to the bullet hole (POI).
Your rifle is sighted in pretty darn close... With one round fired!
