I'm back into bow hunting this year after winning a bow at bass pro. This thing has a whisker biscuit style rest that has 3 seperate brushes. I think it will degrade after shooting and the arrow will be lose. I'm thinking about going to a fall away rest...question: which one? Or is there another preferred style for hunting?

I've been using a Ripcord for about the last 3 yrs and have had zero problems out of it. If I bought a new bow tomorrow I would put a Ripcord on it.

I have 2 NAP Apache rest and they have been great. The Ripcord has great following to.

I was using a ripcord for the last five years and just updated my bow a little and switched over to the QAD HDX. So far I am really liking it. Either one would be a good choice.

I have shot both the QAD and ripcord rests. I have since changed over to the QAD for the simple fact I prefer the letdown feature better...

QAD really is the only way to go. I dont understand why anyone would use anything else.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

I shoot a QAD Hunter now but I am thinking about trying the Trophy Ridge Revolution. Heard good things but haven't seen it in action yet.

You can't go wrong with a QAD, ripcord or NAP apache.

RipCord is a great rest and better customer service. There mar only two models and both work great. No ultra or xtra .... You always get their best product.

I'm thinking about going to a fall away rest...question: which one? I had the same style rest on my bow and had a heck of a time tuning it for broadheads. Switched to a QAD and was really surprised at how much difference here was in consistancy. I thought my sloppy shooting was ALL my fault. Turns out some of those shots were the work of hat rest. With the QAD, my groups instantly tightened up, which i had not expected. Also found that my broadheads needed no adjustment. They shot the same as field points.

QAD Ultra rest. Ripcord are nice also. I just decided to try the QAD this past time around and ended up being my favorite.

Ok, I will play devils advocate here. I looked at QAD's website and I see 4 different models: HDX, HD, LD and the hunter. So which one of these is best for a hunting application, one may assume the hunter model but we all know what assuming does for us. And why is it better than the Ripcords 2 models, or for you ripcord fans which model is better and why?

The higher end models have features hunter and ld don't. If you shoot a very fast bow, say over 310fps, I would suggest at least the HD. The adjustment features of the two higher ones make them easier to adjust and paper tune a bow as well.
