we have got pretty much all of the above... My personal favorite would be the Polaris Rzr... Mine has a roof, windshield, double gun scabbords, cd player, piaa lights, 14" wheels with mud tires and so on...

None of the Above. We have two Kubota 900RTVs.

I have a camo golf cart and while it works great for getting around quietly if it's very muddy or the terrain is rough it isn't all that great. I will haul a decent load on the bed and I've used it for a mobile blind before. My buddy has a 4 man mule that works great but it is a lot louder than my cart. It will hall a good size load tow a trailer but it lacks a little on the top end speed. Another friend has a Kubota I don't care for the hydrostat transmission. Just a personal thing but when you let off the gas peddle it stops and I don't like it. It will haul a lot and move out well but it's also noisy. Just my .02

None of the above. Go Pinzgauer, you can license it to use on the road. Below 710M, you can buy them for around 12K. The 710 will carry a ton or 8 people in the back. Below 712M, you can get them for around $19K. The 712 will carry 3,200 lbs in the back or 12 people. See: www.swissarmyvehicles.com or go to www.expedition-imports.com to buy from a dealer or check the classified sections at www.real4x4fourms.com.I have a Polaris 2x4 and we have access to Mules. Neither vehicle can touch the Pinzgauers and like I said you can license them, insure them and drive them on the highway. JMO

I have a 2007 Yamaha Rhino and wouldn't trade it for any other similar type unit. The reason I bought it was that it was still classified as an ATV and not a UTV(utility.) This thing is a great machine. The only thing I wish was that they had is a bench seat(cant get one) or a four seater(dont have that available either and I wasn't willing to spend the extra money on a four seater of a different brand) Also have a friend who has an artic cat and the thing literally shakes apart going across the pasture. Every time it is used we have to tighten the screws all over it and the links in the gears.
I towed a 16 foot trailer with a tower stand loaded through two creeks and up a steep terrain change.

i've been wonderin the same thing, dollar for dollar what is the best...I can buy a Jeep for the same as a Mule or UTV and do essentally the same thing huh...love to hear comments on that...a 4 wheeler is my next thought, can't argue its usefullness, and a golf cart i wonder about it having enough power, ground clearence, mobility...but love the stealthness, My boss has a bad boy buggy, and says he'd be better off with an EZ go....i'm torn too

I like all of them. We have a couple of four wheelers at are place that we use regularly to pull trailers and fill feeders. But we use my golfcart just about all the time. Its battery operated so it runs silent. Put a camo wrap on it. Jacked it up 6 inches, installed off road tires and a floor mounted gun/bow rack on it. THAT THING IS BAD ARSE, and doesn't get stuck in the mud! I even mounted a spot light on it to varmit hunt in. Nothing ever hears us. By next year I'll probably find a way to put an enclosure on it to stay dry when it rains. But thats just me.

Mule is ok unless muddy then not enough power to spin off mud on front tires and you will get locked up. Ranger has much more power and clearance
Think you can/Think you can't/Either way you're right

It really boils down to what all you are going to use it for. Just back and forth to the stand? Do you need to haul corn or protein for more than 1 or 2 feeders? Do you really want to shuttle back and forth? What kind of roads are on your lease? I feed some places where the roads are okay, but so closed in with cedar that a full size pickup really can't make it. Do you want to mess around with towing to and from the lease? What will be the initial out lay in $$$ for whatever you are looking at? Something like a Kubota diesel UTV will cost you every bit as much as a Pinzgauer.
I got the Pinzgauers because I was sick and tired of trailering the Polaris and only being able to carry 14 bags of feed. Wasted a lot of time and fuel shuttling back and forth for more feed. The Pinzgauers are only about the size of an Astro Van and have a slightly wider track that the Polaris. About the same width as a Jeep, but much more useful than a Jeep. I've had CJ 7s and a CJ 5. They are 4 bangers and get 14 to 16 mpg on no lead gas. They will definitely out perform a Jeep.
The Polaris Rangers are much quicker than a Mule, but how fast can you really go on most leases especially if there is livestock on them?
Let your fingers do the walking on the internet and research the heck out of all of them. JMO

i like the gator's and have beent through some serious mud with the 2wd's and locking rear dif. they can haul half a lot of weight day in day out and be used and abused. i've used the mule's and the best thing about them is the diesel option, everything else they are just as durable as the gator's if not a little more. i'm just not a fan of the bench seat at higher speeds while cruising down a bumpy road. but if i was going to spend the money i alway's like the unimog's,that was until i started looking at the one's deerfeeder turned me onto a few months back. street legal, multi use, deer season, and i bet getting down to big shell for some fishing with one would be awesome also.

Cibilo; You can find alot of them right at about $10,000.00 See www.whiteowl.com. Go to the trucks sub category and there is a 1977 710M for sale at $9,800.00 It'll probably cost you to ship it or drive out and get it but still in the same ball park as the high end UTVs. Most of these trucks are low mileage trucks especially when you consider they are over 30 years old. All the ones I've seen were well maintained by the Swiss Army. I haven't seen any that came from the Austrian Army. Same truck, but has a split windshield. I considered a Mog too, they are generally around 9.8K too. The ex-military ones, but they don't go as fast, like 60 mph is fast...right? But, they don't get the fuel mileage a Pinzgauer does and they are way bigger. I needed something compact, driveable, and capable of carrying a decent load. Pinzgauers worked for me.

As a Mule owner I am very happy with everything but the top end speed. If I had to do it over again I would go with the Polaris. Make sure you spend the extra money and get the 2 bench seat model.

If you want some really heavy iron check out http://www.idahomotorpool.com/. Made in the USA stuff mostly under $10K. But again, pretty big for most leases.
