Different, but people really like them, especially folks who like more power in the flavor of meat. Hamburger meat lean Italian sausage anchovies onion & garlic mint Italian and Cajun seasoning Good Bread Chop onions, garlic, anchovies with oil, italian and cajun seasonings in a food processor until they are pretty small. (mill the spices first) I use a lot of spice but use what you like. Spread the meat out evenly on a tray. Chop the mint and spread it and the onion mix evenly to blend it all together. Shape the burgers to your bread, I like to use french or italian loaf, make them square and cut off sections of the loaf. Toast the bread on the grill, instead of mustard and mayo I use sun dried tomato pesto and basil pesto, but either way they are good. Your choice of cheese on it and dress it and serve it. ENJOY!

You know you may be surprised, anchovies is the primary ingredient in Worchestershire sauce that many people use in their meats and meat sauces and marinades. I just went to the source and cut out all the secondary flavors. You can't taste them,(especially when you blend them up to nothing with the onion and garlic) it simply changes the way the meat tastes in general. You can't do that with Worchestershire that has a distinct flavor and just a little bit is detectable.

You deer hunters should try this with some ground loin instead of the beef.

You went and put minners in your hamburger! I would have never thought of anchovies, but I'd give it a try. The whole thing looks good!

I would respectfully disagree with that statement and offer that the heat of the grill brings out the flavor of both the meat and the anchovies.

I wonder how that would be with your Cajun trinity + garlic on the bread instead of one of the pestos.
