Sako hands down. My 300 finnbear is a thing of beauty and is a shooter.

I'd say sako, I gave 3 older models and one tikka, all shoot a variety of ammo at moa or less. The older ones are extremely well built and I'd consider one a steal atm650 with a leupold scope depending on condition. Good luck.

As much as I love Ruger, I have to go with Sako in this situation. My experience with the Ruger model 77 is that it is NOT smooth at all and really just isn't worth the money.

I highly disagree that Ruger Model 77's are not worth the money. And they do smooth out with time and use. I have an old tang safety model that is as smooth as glass. Still...buy the Sako.

I have a hawkeye, synthetic stock stainless action/barrel.

the triggers are much improved, everything else is about the same as it was.

I don't care for the new matte finish and the stocks on the non-stainless models

Can't wait till I hear a discussion about buy American. Guess that only counts in lightbulbs and cheap electronics. At least we still got HighPoint.

They're used guns so there's no buy American issue IMO.

That is your opinion only. If you buy the Ruger then another Ruger can be made and sold.
