This is short notice but we are meeting at Webers in Troy this evening at 630pm to shoot some clays and talk about DU, our DU Chapter, and our upcoming banquet in October. The purpose of this meeting is to try to get a few new committee members. Age does not matter...I'm bringing a 17 year old and we also have really old guys on the committee like Deckhand (Lee). There will be some kind of food and beverage provided. Weber's is picking up the tab for the clays. So bring your shotgun and some shells!

I'm probably going to also bring my waders because when some of these guys get to telling hunting stories the BS gets pretty deep.

Is that place wheel chair freindly ? for Deckhand

Yes it is. We normally just put him in a golf cart...he will sit in the back and shoot from there...after we just feed him beers.

Oh and I can't wait until he reads this...hahaha

I know you were/are Garrett. I was actually wanting to invite you so you could give your fire arms safety talk before...you know the quick one you do that only takes 30 minutes.

I would love to join you guys, there is nothing I enjoy more than talking about firearms safety. I can bring my box to stand on so that everyone has a clear view of me.

I don't know why but that reminded me about Rusty how when we were all at that lodge during teal season that one year and about half the people we are really hanging out with the first time...people are watching TV and Rusty just walks up to the TV...flips it off and turns around to everyone and goes into somesort of stand up comedy routine that was kind of dicey for mixed company. I think him doing that was more funny than the jokes he told.

that whole weekend is a blur, the things that stick out is Rustys comedy act, the great food that dude cooked and having to drive home sunday on like 2 hours of sleep

Last time we were at Webers shooting clays one of the workers came out and asked if we needed anything, I told him a case of beer and he went inside. He came back out about 5 min later and said he called his boss and his boss said no. I couldn't believe he asked his boss.

HAHA...that's funny. Guess the kid did not know any better but you got to like his attitude for trying.
