...that was crucial to your hunt or trip to the lease?

My ammo can full of ammo. Fortunately I leave a hand full of rounds for each caliber in the camper....and all guns stay loaded so I had that ammo too.

Only once in my life I left my ammo. Back in the 70's had a guy I worked with ask me to go hunting after an early work day. Ran to get my rifle and always left the ammo box in the case with the rifle...except that time it was behind the case and i did not see it when I grabbed the rifle. No going back so I just sat at the truck and watched an oats patch till dark.

Binos...haven't been hunting long enough to do anything crazy yet, but left my binos and hated it the whole time. Stinks, especially after the sun sets and you think everything you see is moving...

Forgot boots once but deer really don't care if you are wearing tennis shoes in the blind. Forgot ammo on a duck hunt but we had plenty to go around. Worst was forgetting to leave my keys outside the truck before locking the doors. Sat for 2 hours with frozen feet waiting for a locksmith since I also decided to wade in with knee high boots to grab a duck in 2 feet of water.

Got to the lease to dove hunt with 12 ga shells and 20 ga shotgun. All was not lost since I had the 243 and found 2 good eating size pigs.

I went into the field without ammo. My father decided I was old enough to load my own gun, but neglected to inform me of his decision. Pulled the trigger on a nice 8 point...would have been a perfect shot bang

Had a cousin "borrow" my binoculars from my jeep and neglected to tell me. Didn't notice until I was unloading and getting ready to go to the stand.

Left my wallet and $1000 at the Kansas Toll Booth my first trip to hunt Kansas. Was pulling a trailer and had to open the door to reach the ticket...wallet was in the door, but apparently not very securely.

I have left a few socks and t-shirt sleeves behind in the woods peep

Forgot my keys in the truck with it running once. Got all the way to the river, unloaded the canoe and got it loaded up full of gear only to discover that the paddles were still sitting on my back porch.

ME: Orange vest for deer hunting
OLDEST SON: Ammo. He picked up a box of my 30-06. He shoots 308W. Luckily my 30-30 and 6 rounds of ammo were in the truck too.
YOUNGEST SON: Migratory bird permit on a duck hunt

I forgot my gun on a dove hunt when I was little. My dad told me to get his when I was bringing mine out of the house so I set mine down on the porch. Walked right past mine and loaded his in the truck when I came back out.

I have forgotten ammo one time, but I always leave the magazines of my rifles full so In case I do forget the box I can still hunt.

forgot my boots once when I was a kid and spend a week hunting in south texas in 40 degree weather in white and blue nikes

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

About 15 years ago I loaded up everything nd drove to the lease about an hour away. Start unloading everything and realize I left my rifle at the house. One and only time for that.

All my ammo on a day long prairie dog hunt in the middle of no where Wyoming. I'd have given 100 bucks for a dang sling shot that day!

On more than one occasion, I've left camp riding my ATV without my gun. But in my own defense, it's probably more from habit. I spend a lot of time at my lease during the off season where I never require it.

My right boot. I had two pair of identical hunting boots and took one pair to the lease. It was the two left boots. It was the only time that year that it actually snowed at the lease. My tennis shoes were soaking wet by the time I got to the blind.
