Haven't tried Fargo's yet, but it is on my list of BBQ places to visit!

Just don't go to c&j's. otherwise, you'll be alright. Rudy's isnt the greatest but not the worst. I worked there....for two months. Why are you focused on BBQ? Several other good stops to consider! Dixie Chicken, chicken oil if you aren't into bars, Koppe bridge, or some local hole in the wall Mexican food joints.

+1 for Fargos. Cash only. Go on Tuesdays or Saturdays and get the rib tips. You will be glad that you did!

Maybe you weren't brave enough to venture into Bryan. Gina's on Leonard rd was one of my favorites

In my 12 years of living there, just recently moved. The food in bryan/college station is fare at best. BBQ, hole in the wall Mexican food, and burgers are OK on their best day. If your in the area on a Saturday I highly recommend driving to Lexington( get there early because the food goes fast) and eating at Snows BBQ. Snows brisket is the only place I have found comparable to Franklins. I ate at Franklins when he was selling out of a trailer on the side of 35 and only had Mullers old pit! Before he hit big and moved down town.

If you want good Mexican and a lot of food, drive 15 min south to Navasota and try Erick's. The carne asada takes up most of the plate, and the food and service is better than most places in BCS.
Never found a really good BBQ place in BCS while I was there either. But Snow's is worth the drive to Lexington.
