Depends on where you're hunting, what you are trying to achieve and your budget. We don't need corn to keep deer on our property, we need deer to be in bow range the three times a year we hunt them. Therefor we don't put corn out until Sept and don't feed after hunting season because of our budget.

All the east Texas hunting I have done over the last 10 tells me that the deer around here have ADD....if I quit feeding after season it will take them a month to find them again once I start back. I just sling corn all year long- between the end of deer season and about Labor Day just once a day for just a short burst.

Here in Central Texas we put it out all year--or as long as we can afford it/ or our stores last. Corn prices are falling, so it is a good time to pick it up and store it for the year.

A farmer in Waco-area has just cut his prices on this year's crop and is selling corn for $260.00 per ton (40 x 50lbs bags-- $6.50 per bag) on a pallet. His name is Bud, 254-744-8461.
