Not a huge buck, but would be a great 1st bow buck for my SIL. He's cool looking though! I was thinking 5, but the more opinions the better! Sorry about the crappy pics, don't have my computer.

Looks mature to me. I'd let the SIL take him.

First thought was 7 yr old or older. He is mature no doubt.

Maybe it's just me, but that deer doesn't look all that healthy. Maybe he's just really old? Skinny rump and sagging back are what I'm seeing that's making me think that might be the case. Deer just looks odd.

That is because you just described a very mature older age buck.

I'm thinking he could be 8. It's not very often people post pictures of deer this old here. I saw a few on the comanche even older that literally looked like they were wasting away. OP, if/when you get that deer killed this season, post a pic of his teeth in his lower jaw. I bet they are worn down to the gum line.

6+. That's the oldest buck I've seen posted on this forum in a while. Very cool rack on him too.

They weren't raiding a girl scout troop looking for overdue library books.

My thought was he fits into the "old" category, I wouldn't worry about a year age. Bust him and see how many teeth he has left.
