Yep. Not unusual for some does to fawn towards the end of August in south texas.

Thanks, thought they did, had some fawns born at the end of july last year.

a lot of places are still holding.... here in my area every doe has had their fawns and 9 miles eat in the sand hills they have just now started seeing the first fawns

Yes.. must have been missed on the regular cycle and got knocked up the 2nd time around.
