Robert, Does the Primo Grill work any better than the Big Green Egg?

Robert, Does the Primo Grill work any better than the Big Green Egg? A Primo owner would say yes!! A GBE owner would say the opposite!! I think the primo oval has better accessories and useable cooking area.

Robert, Does the Primo Grill work any better than the Big Green Egg? I have a BGE, but envy the Primo's for one reason. The Primo has a firebox divider, and split grate. Therefore, you can add wood in the middle of a smoke, or move things around to different temps. With the BGE, it's more "set it and forget it". Now, having said that, i've haven't had a single problem with my BGE. Haven't had it long though.

Awesome end product, you did fabulous job to design this entire kitchen set up with proper nit and tidy way. I loved the way you have applied the rock tiles. Will follow your way for sure.

Thanks! We've used it at least 3 times a week since I've built it. People love to just hang around it while I cook, which was in the entire reason I built it.
Who ever decides to go down this path, just make sure you have plenty of counter space to serve outside. I've hosted multiple events now and have been able to keep all the food, drinks, apps, and PEOPLE outside the entire time. Which has saved me cleaning up my entire house after a party. In fact, lots of times, I'll serve the food right off the grill.

Sooooo, when are you going to start on the roof? Honestly, soon. I need to cover it with a pergola to keep most of the sun off the granite. It's already bleaching it out.

Nice work!! How do you cut the rock so they will fit together with all the different angles and such?

RM - you don't cut the rocks, to just rotate and test fit them until they go together. Sometimes you have to use the back of your chipping hammer to knock off little corners and such to get a bigger piece to fit.

What brand ceramic cooker is that and how do you like it? Primo XL - it's awesome. Indirect or direct cooking, it works. I've never owned such a versatile pit.
