Much much cheaper than Yeti,Brute or Grizzly. The pics below are a 120 qt igloo that was placed out at noon on the 4th....it is now 8:00 am on the 8th. The cooler was opened a couple hundred times on the 4th and the the drinks are still ice cold. Don't get me wrong...I'm not bashing the others because I own a Yeti and a Brute...but the Igloos performance is certainly acceptable for hunting and fishing.

I've got the biggest cooler they make. I fill it with ice when I leave home and still have ice when I get home a week later. If I bring home a quartered deer and put it in the cooler I have to add some more ice but that is to be expected. Works fine for me. Only problem is it weighs a ton filled.

I was driving back from the coast yesterday and probably a quarter of a mile I see this white box barreling into the grass median that separates the oncoming lanes. As I get closer it comes to a halt and notice it's a 90 to 100 something quart igloo. I see a truck and boat being towed and I'm pretty sure the guy had it on the boat. I then see the lid to the cooler about another quarter of a mile up the road.
The guy will stop and find out his cooler is gone and probably think it got stolen. I'm pretty sure the lid opened up and since he was probably going 65mph the wind caught it and pulled the entire thing out. Since it appeared empty it had nothing to really hold it down. Say what you want about those expensive coolers but this would not have happened to one of them...if by some fluke it flew off it would not break at least. The latches are also much more secure on the more expensive ones.

Yep that is why I bought a yeti. Don't have to worry about it getting all busted up or replacing hinges/latches. All the upper end coolers cost more for a reason.
I want it to party in my mouth.

I've got two 65 Tundra Yeti's that came out of the truck @ 70mph when they were brand new..........they were in plastic and stacked on top of other coolers not tied down correctly. Anyway, they look like you cleaned fish on them from the little road rash they got. You could hardly tell they were damaged.

Growing up we used 2 Igloos for everything for about a 10 year period. They went through hell. The hinges broke, one of the handles snapped and the outside coating ended up with 1-3 cracks per cooler.
Through it all, with redneck Ingenuity (Tweed rope for the handle, bungee cords for the lids, and a spot of duct tape) the coolers kept on trucking.
I can see the popularity of these higher end brands, but I'm not ever going to cry if my $60 igloo came up missing, the beer on the other hand....

My Iqloo 48 sucks. Its only a couple years old, but seems way cheaper made than the older ones. I'll put in a 18 pack and ten lb bag of ice at 3 pm, and its melted and only cool water remains the next morning. I
I'll take a Coleman or Rubbermaid any day. Maybe some of the iqloo marine coolers are better, I dunno.

Just got a new Igloo Yukon 50 at.
Took it to Port A Thursday week ago.
Kept ice for 4 days before I used the ice.
Very little melt.
Packed it with a few zip lock bags of frozen fish fillets,about 4-5 lbs(fishing sucked),stuff that was in the refrig,and a mess of those icecicle frozen things.
The cooler was full. No Ice !
Left at 6:30 am and got to Garland about 1:30 pm.
Opened up to unload to find even the icecicles still frozen!
About 100 degrees when we got back and it was on the carrier behind the truck.
Have several of the Igloo Maxcold style chests that work fairly well for cheaper coolers but this thing kicks AZZ!

Have a brand new small igloo cooler that I use every day for work. Keep a few gatorades and 6 or so waters and our lunch in it. Gets opened when we want a drink. Ice in it at 9 every morning, all ice is melted by 6. Not impressed. Not gonna pay several hundred for a yeti tho. Got too many other bills

Igloo is good in the higher grades othewise there just a cheap cooler. You need to go at least to a marine grade if you want good performance.

Got too many other bills These coolers are designed for a day use, not over night or extended use. I bet you would get better service out of it if you would use block ice or freeze some 32 ounce Coke bottles and use that instead of the chip ice. We travel a lot using a cheap cooler and use frozen water in Coke bottles instead of chip ice. Frozen 16 or 32 ounce Coke bottles of water will last almost twice as long as chipped ice, and there is no mess either.

I still use Igloo coolers, both in the US and outside of the country (often outside of the country it might be the only option, or Coleman). Anyway, I've yet to be let down by one. Don't plan to spend a fortune on one of the other makes. I won't turn down an offer of a free expensive make, though. I can then sell it, by an Igloo, and maybe some cool stuff -- like ammo....

I agree with Dogcatcher's tip. The smaller the piece of ice the faster it will melt. I typically will use frozen water bottles. We normally take a 5 gal water jug camping but extra water never hurts...if we run out of that 5 gal jug I'll have those back up water bottles. I also have 3 freezer pack blocks...the ones I use are "The iceberg" ones. http://www.lifoam.com/freez.htmThese freezer packs don't have just water in them...not sure whats in there but they stay frozen longer. But using the combo of frozen water bottles and freezer packs the amount of loose ice you need is much less and your overall performance will be much better. To me it's pretty important if you are doing a 3 to 4 night trip....which translates into 4 or 5 days that you need ice.

I just put my cooler in the truck or boat with the hinges facing forward. Lid doesn't open and I kept from spending several hundred dollars on a cooler that is more likely to be stolen from my truck.

Sounds like you got it all figured out cybertext and if that works for you great.
If a cooler is for day use or just 24 to 36 hour use a cheapo is all you need and there really is not a greater need for a roto mold type cooler. Otherwise those coolers can actually pay for themselves with the ice savings and the fact they don't break as easy...so you buy one for life vs the cheapOs you have to buy every couple years. Also if getting it stolen is a concern (which is should be for all your stuff) then they have ways you can lock them down. Invest $10 on a lock and you are all set. I already owned the stuff I use to lock mine down with.

I used Igloo for years. I spent a lot of money on replacement hinges, latches, drains, handles, straps, and JB weld to fix the cracks that developed inside and out on the coolers. I had a bone yard so to speak of coolers I could no longer fix because they had developed leaks that I couldn't repair. I got tired of spending money every year and seeing the dang hinges break less than a day after putting new ones on. I had had enough.
So, the high end coolers for me were all about toughness, not ice retention. The ice retention is pretty durn good. But, it's the toughness that really drew me to them, and has kept me a fan of the high end coolers. Hell, I'll be able to pass mine down to my grandkids some day.

I have bought my last Igloo after using many over the years. The constant hinge breaking, latches and handles breaking. The liners and the outside wall cracking. I may not buy a Yeti but I sure won't buy another Igloo.
