This was 3 years in the making as 3 years earlier his scope got bumped and he missed. For 3 years all we saw were does and smaller bucks. The evening he shot this we got to the ranch late and it was the last weekend of the season. Close to dark 3 bucks came out and were butting horns and messing around. We watched this till it was almost too late to shoot and he dropped this one. We both shed a few tears in the stand after we screàmed a bit! Nothing like hunting with your kiddos.

Hoping to do the same thing this season. My son has been hunting with me for a few seasons, got his first doe last year so I am hoping this is the year of the buck. Trying to make it as possible as I can, going to be setting up hunting plots with wheat and been feeding year round with good pens...I hope it sets up well for a kill this season. Can't come soon enough.
Congrats to you and your son! Memories for both of you!

My first buck had fewer total points than that one has on one side. Great job Dad ... high 5 to the boy.
Hopefully I'm sitting next to mine for his first buck.

great pic, congrats, i've got a few more years to wait but i am excited to get my boys out there.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.
