I'm looking for anyone who hunts or knows where to hunt Melanistic Whitetail. I'm willing to offer a $1000 to anyone who shots a mature Melanistic Buck and you still keep the mount or is able to take us to where one can be hunted! If you are interested please contact me for details.

If by setting one's heart right every morning and evening, one is able to live as though his body were already dead, he gains freedom in the Way. His whole life will be without blame, and he will succeed in his calling.

interesting fact: Melanism is actually fairly common in all or parts of eight counties: Hays, Travis, Comal, Williamson, Blanco, Guadalupe, Burnet and Caldwell.

Not sure if you would call them Melanistic but I have a few on my lease that are black faced and have a black streak down their neck and past their shoulder blades.

I hunt in Coke County.
