when you are out duck hunting what is the most important thing to you (and I am not talking about safty and all that type stuff) that you must never forget?
For me it is something to drink and cigs.

Friends! Hunting with good people is what really makes the morning for me.... oh yea... my wife usually packs some goodies in the back pack for me. You know... the good stuff... rice crispy treats, cheese and crackers w/ that little plastic stick... It's all I can do to keep Mark out of my backpack.

Some kind of food. Jerkey or crackers are best.

the dog. the hunts aren't the same without him. I don't take anything to eat because I don't want to ruin my appetite for the post hunt trip to whataburger. the dog enjoys whataburger too

I try to keep the stuff I take to the blind to a minimum. I normally don't take anything to eat or drink because it's not like I'm not going to be back to my house or where ever within a few hours. If you are walking in you really can't afford the extra weight anyway...the gun, shells and decoys are heavy enough.

Although later in the season I've been known to take some duck or goose jerky with me. It is nice to have a little snack on the slow days.

on public I enjoy bringing coffee and some sort of breakfast, on the private land we hunted last year we always met up at whataburger for breakfast and were running to late to set up to enjoy coffee while waiting on ducks.

And I would also have to say never forget your waders. It just ruins the hunt once you have to pic up deeks.
