If you want a sendero in 270 good luck. I wanted one too but settle on a 700vs in .308. Same gun as the older senderos just in a short action.

I know where one is for $800. I am pretty sure it is heavy fluted barrel. Blued?

Unless you are stuck on Remington, you may check out something along the lines of a heavy barreled Tikka 695 that was chambered in .270. Excellent long range whitetail rifles.
