no season and no hours plus night hunting is a HUGE rush. Hogs can fight back which adds an element of fun.
Traps, dogs, knives, full auto, helicopters... its a free for all
oh yeah , they are better eating than deer

Not quite sure what kind of idiot would want to try to accomplish this Hell, I'm 60 years old and killed one with a Bowie knife last year. Of course, there was a pitbull on each ear when I stuck him. Someone once said something like this about pigs: They are smarter than deer, more wary than turkeys or coyotes and meaner than a basement full of Mansons... Just like all animals, they don't get big by being stupid.

The great thing about hogs is that if you see them you can shoot them. It don't matter how many there are, what sex they are, how big they are, what color they are, what time of year it is, or how old they are........you can shoot them and everyone will be happy for you. Try shooting a yearling buck and watch the forum want to hang you for it.........then try shooting a whole litter of 6 week old piglets and watch everyone want to high five you.

They carry SHIELDS......  It is the only animal that I have encountered that gets up after taking 3 broadside shots from a .308 Winchester, from 100 yards and in, and still requires a headshot to dispatch. Most other game animals lay down after 1, maybe at most 2 shots. From the next hunting stand over they think WWIII is beginning  They arrive full well expecting to see 4 - 5 dead pigs but instead there is a 250 lb boar sitting there plugged with holes but with a story to tell for sure! BB

I just like being able to hunt a larger animal whenever I want... but I also don't like the extra steps I have to take to keep my deer happy with them around... or do any pasture work with a tractor...

i do enjoy my hog hunting and my hog eating. as problematic as they may be, i'm pretty sure i'd miss them if they ever really did find a way to get rid of them.
