Last year I bought a primos truth cam 55 and went ahead and purchased a 1 year replacement plan through cabela's. Well it stopped working I just called in and they are sending me a cabela's gift card for the cost of the camera and a mailing label to send them the camera. Once again Cabela's customer service is top notch can't beat them.

I'm glad they still care...most don't. It truly sets them apart!

I agree. Helps they put one 10 min from me. (Says me....not my wife). It's not as good as the one in funky town but the people working there are pretty nice. Love the dog section!

I picked up a Crimson Trace grip for my Taurus Tracker out of the Bargain Cave today for a substantial discount. Like any other chain, they aren't always perfect, but they do a pretty good job on the whole. My experience has been that they try to do the right thing, even when they're a little clumsy about it.

The black card also made them much more neogotable in the bargin cave before they stopped all the neogotating ability

Through a gun, scope and all necessary mounting and equipment purchase and a less than satisfactory result and the lack of follow up afterwards, my first shopping experience with Cabelas was my last. 2 different trips to their store(75 miles each way) and I still was very unhappy with the end results. Hopefully, not to many of their customers experience such a episode.

The original little house that was Cabelas is only a few hours away in Sidney, NE. Cool place. Back then, the bargain basement was really a basement. They have done well since then, and grown leaps and bounds. I'm thrilled that they are opening two stores in Denver metro next month. Not huge stores like in some other cities, but stores, nonetheless. Cabelas has not gouged like so many other vendors have in recent months. They will get my money when they open.

I got food Poisoning eating at the Cabelas in Sidney back in 2008. It was a horrible experience. I don't blame Cabelas, but I don't have fond memories of that trip.

I had a horrible assistant manager lady that would not honor a Life-Time-Warranty on a fishing rod.
She actually called me "one of those people that try to return stuff they did not buy."
I had to throw a fit at the return desk, I got a real manager.
It took playing hardball but they took care of it. I hope they fired her. That is not like Cabelas to allow that.

My only complaint is that it is too big. If I need an item, I don't want to hike half a mile to get it. It takes longer to get inside of the store than it does to shop at a local store. I can walk into a local store and within a few minutes be on my way.

I just wish they would take returns from stuff bought at the bargain cave.

The new Waco store has been taking applications for the past two weeks! It won't be too long before they open - planning for October, but maybe a little sooner!

They've always done me right. My snake boots have a 5 year in store warranty. Inevitably they blow out every 2 years or so. Always replaced, no questions asked.
