I'm looking at the strikefire and the sparc. I just want something for plinking, not really for long range. If anyone has any experience with these 2 could you please chime in please? Give me the good and the bad on either one or both if possible.
Thanks for any info.

I have a Strikefire on my AR. I think its a great red dot for the price. I will say that the included "doubler" lens is pretty much useless. Never used the Sparc so I can't comment on it.

Thanks for the reply. I have heard that about the magnifier being of little use.

+1 on the strikefire. plus is that it's night vision compatible also.

Is their claim on battery life accurate?
I do like the strikefire better myself.

It might depend on what you are putting it on. The Sparc is much smaller than the Strikefire, and offers a smaller reticle. The strikefire was designed to cowitness with AR optics, and the Sparc comes with different mount pieces to raise or lower the optic. If you are just plinking and having fun I would go with the Strikefire. I have one on my M&P 15/22, and it does everything I could ask of it. Try webyshops.com. They have a news letter that if you sign up for you can get a $10 off coupon code taking the Strikefire down to $159 w/ free shipping.

I second the strikefire. GREAT optic.
