Never had much luck with off the shelf attractants. I know there are folks that swear by them, but good ole corn still seems the best to me.
Certain areas seem to have better results with mineral supplements and at times protein or sweet feed works fairly well.
Apples and peanut butter seem to come up a lot, but I attracted more ants than deer with both.

Stick with corn. You will be money ahead and have the deer on most years. The only problem will be in heavy acorn crop years. Then it won't matter what you put out they will eat acorns first.

txshntr hunts in Concho County. BOBO on here hunts McCulloch and Mason Counties. Several others hunt in your area on here also. Give it some time you will get some replies.

I had a place off 67 just to the West of Coleman and now am farther west and south. I have hunted around Brownwood and Santa Anna, but not regularly. Beautiful country and plenty of game in the areas I hunted.

Corn is the most versatile, for that other stuff it is very geographic specific as to what may attract them. Save your money and feed corn and protein if your wallet can afford it.
