I have several pics on cam of a doe traveling and nursing three fawns. She comes alone with the kids. No other deer visit within 20-30 minutes at least.
Anyone ever hear of a doe having triplets, or did she pick up an orphan?
Or is she the designated baby sitter. Lol.
All appear to be very healthy, and earlier in the year I did have a doe that looked HUGE while pregnant.

I have seen does with 3 fawns before.
Never seen deer babysit fawns like cows will do.
I have no proof just my own observations, but I would say triplets is possible.
It's hell eatin em live

I've seen triplets early in the year, right after fawns start hitting the ground. Later in the year only see twins, not sure if the doe can't handle all 3 and abandons the weaker one of if predators just get them.

Triplets are not really that rare as one might think. I have seen triplets on many different occasions during the last 24 yrs now. The ones that I have seen were older by the time I had seen them, late summer. Almost every set of triplets lived past weaning age. Had one doe that had 3 sets of triplets in a row for 3 years. She stayed in the same area of the pasture and had a white hair patch on her nose is how I knew it was her everytime. Also have heard of older does "excepting" or allowing another fawn to nurse on rare occassions.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Its a coal fired power plant, lol. There is several thousand acres of land around the lake we use for water that arent hunted, between the A.P. George Ranch and other wealthy landowners in this area. I dont carry a camera with me to take pics, see at least two to three sets a year in this area. Come on down to Fort bend county and drive down Gubbels road and around the roads around the plant and maybe you can see em.

Hey, a sharp-eyed guy from our lease pointed out that there is a snout of another deer just barely visible under the neck of the doe. So probably not triplets after all. Sorry guys.

Funny thing about getting older: Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to see through people's BS gets much better.
