Going to buy a UTV when I get back in town this week. Leaning towards a Polaris Ranger Crew Cab model, as it seems like the best fit for the family. Can anybody chime in with a recommendation for a good dealer (BEST PRICE) in the DFW area?

Hoffpauier in Goldwaithe is the closest to you but Tommy Vaughn is usually better on pricing in Columbus. Do not know any dealers further north than HP.

I looked all over TX and no one could close to what I bought it for in Durant OK. You don't have to pay sales tax.. either when you buy it or when you title it in TX. On my XP900 that saved me $1000.

I bought my crew in antlers OK. I live in allen tx. I paid 12500 for my crew 800. I had them add the fortress roof and aftermarket wheels and All Terrain tires. That thing goes everywhere and is great for my family.

I shopped around for a while on my rzr purchase and ended up saving 1800 dollars by driving to Shreveport and going to rock powersports. Call rock powersports and talk to shane dowden, he is the general manager. Tell him Josh with 3P sent you. www.rock-powersports.com

Chris25, did you have anything added to it or what that bone stock? Are you tax-exempt? here is mine - BJ at antlers is the way to go. He is a straight shooter and is passionate about what he sells.

That was with just a roof added in and the tires slimed.

BBD84 has his for sale for $12,500. Has less than 70 hours on it. Don't know about any accessories he may or may not have. But it's the camo 800 crew model.

I can't believe what people are willing to pay for a SxS when you can get a street legal used Jeep for much less.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Easy to hop in and out of to get gates and handles terrain as good or better than a Jeep.

All good info. Also, a quick note on claiming AG exemption; the State of Texas has gotten a lot stricter on this. Used to be just about anyone could claim it. It's been a few years (2011) since i bought mine and even then they verified my off road diesel permit but now I think its even tougher, as there's a registration that must be done with the state (Tx Ag or timber registration).

Jeep vs Polaris Crew- Two totally different machines. Each has their place. Polaris Crew is the way to go in the field.

Having just shopped all over, I will guarantee you can not beat Jone's Powersports in Durant not even counting the fact you won't pay sales tax. They will install any accessories you purchase at no charge.

I bought mine at Hoffpauir mentioned above. At the time they couldn't be beat. I thought they were going to take my Rhino on trade but we couldn't come close on price. So I had already agreed to a price on the Ranger. While I was selling my Rhino I had three weeks to call every dealer within reason.
I would definately give them a look.

I can't believe what people are willing to pay for a SxS when you can get a street legal used Jeep for much less. I didn't want a jeep. I live on a couple of hundred acres and would just drive my pickup. I love my Ranger and use it all the time. No difference than spending money on a boat or custom rifle.
