I have land where I live that I hunt on, but it's just secondary.
My primary hunting grounds is around Thomas Lake on the Suplhur River, which is about an hour from the house. As the crow flies it's 8 miles from my house to my cabin, but I have to go all the way to the next bridge and come back, which is 32 miles.
32 miles shouldn't take but about 45 minutes, but by the time I get the gate open, drive down to the cabin, and hit the trail, it's about an hour.
I have read where some folks are 2 hours away or 3 maybe. Is that to the area, or to your stand?

45 miles Sabine River just South of Carthage. Takes me an hour to get to the gate. Another 20-30 minutes to get to the lease, depending on how bad the roads are.

101 miles from my doorstep in Garland to the front gate in Brushy Creek! One hour and 45 minutes usually as I have to stop in at Wulf Outdoors in Athens and look for "something" or pick up deer corn.

I can hunt in my back pasture (5 minutes from front door to stand)
My primary is the river (45 minute drive from the house, then hop in a Ranger and 10 minute ride to a stand)
Secondary is the big lease outside of Lometa Texas... I can make it there in 3 hours if rediculously hauling @ss... then thirty minute ride to a stand

300 miles on the dot from where we leave from in Dallas. With no traffic it takes 4.5hrs-5 and with 5.5-6 hours with stops etc.
Cabin to stand about 10 minutes
The drive is the worst thing about my lease,BUT It is well worth seeing 30 animals a sitting for that extra hour drive.

2.5 hours to the cabin, usually stop once, and then another 5 or so hours to get to the stand.

4.5 hours to San Saba, can hunt where we have our travel trailer, or go to actual lease which is about 10 miles away. OR 8 hours to Dryden, then about a mile drive from the gate to camp. The lease is approx. 3300 acres, and you take as long or short of trips out as you want. OR 4.5 hours to east TX, hunt at my hubby's folks place(around San Augustine).

Yessir! I don't buy much, but sure like to look at all the new gadgets and gimmicks. Usually just buy corn and a coffee when I stop.

Driving hard and stoping only for gas, 4 hours 30 minutes, if you time it right with little or no traffic up I 35 through Denton and over to Decatur. If leaving DFW during rush hour, add another 1 1/2 hours to that 4 hours and 30 minutes.

My lease is right at 4.5 hours away! The area I hunt on my lease is about 6 miles from camp, and it takes about 20 minutes to get there on a 4-wheeler!

So far on average it's a 6 hour, 45 minute round trip to hunt. Dedicated bunch, if I ever seen one. On edit - TexasDefender made it jump to an average of 7 hours and 12 minutes.
