I MEANT I WOULD LOVE TO GO FOR HUNTING,BUT OFFCOURSE WITH SOMEONE HAVING ENOUGH EXPERIENCE. ARE YOU ALL THINKING I AM CRAZY OR WHAT? I KIND A EXPECTED MIXED REACTIONS IN THIS FORUM.I DON'T BLAME YOU ALL ABOUT IT. I HATE THOSE GUYS AS MUCH AS YOU ALL HATE THEM. FROM THAT POINT I THINK I AM A DIFFERENT MUSLIM.

Mohammed i dont think it had as much to do with being a muslim as it did the inability to handle a firearm in the field...having someone that is a responsible hunter with you is a good start but you still should take the hunters education course. Good Luck

MA:

Ok, I'm going to assume that you are serious and would really like some help. It's hard to tell on these forums, who is legit and who is just trolling. But just on the chance that here we have a guy who has no background in shooting or hunting but sincerely would like to learn:

My thought would be that you need some one-on-one individual instruction on firearm use handling, and SAFETY...much like most of us here got from our dads or some other responsible adult when we were kids. IMO, there is just too much to learn, and it's too important, to try to pick it up from posts on an internet forum.

Do you have any friends that hunt or shoot? If so, talk to them and ask for help/instruction. Short of that, depending on where you live, there may be a shooting range nearby where you can talk to people about guns, and perhaps take a lesson or two.

IMO, it would be pretty agressive to start from zero knowldege and progress to a point where you can safely participate in deer hunting in a month or so, without a LOT of personal attention/training.

If you are serious, welcome to the fraternity and I wish you luck....we need all the new hunters and shooters we can get!

Again, mohammad, are you in the Middle East right now or are you in Texas? If in Texas, how long have you been here? Are you here legally?

It doesn't take much to tell that either you're very young or you haven't mastered the language yet.

You get my drift?

Very well said JJH, and yes, MA, welcome to the forum. We're glad you're here. I'd follow what JJH has said and find someone in your area to take you out and start on the basics of shooting first.

Join the US military services. They can help you learn how to shoot. Or at least give you a rather quick lesson on how they shoot.

WOW, do they hunt in bangladesh, guess you didn't...hmmmmm you need to get some huntin buddies, go to London Texas on a Saturday night and ask around.....bet you'll find some fine folks that would help ya....buy some folks a round or two....really, you dont need to hunt this year, but you could be ready by next year, go to a range in Austin and hire somone to train you to shoot safely, watch lots of huntin shows, buy all the stuff they tell you, then you need to buy some land way out in west texas, or get a lease in mexico. and your all set....you will have to take the Hunter Ed class...if u hunt in TX

He would need that Hunters Ed Course for hunting out of state as well. Most states require that if your state of residence requires you to have one, then you need to carry one when hunting in theirs as well.

From this quote from you:
Quote:

IT IS MENTIONED HERE THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO SHOOT

I understood it to mean that you were still out of country. My mistake.

If you were told that you don't know how to shoot, who determined it? Where were you? What were you doing?

Getting info like that from you is like pulling teeth (which means is hard to do), and it helps if we had a little more of it.

Since you don't know anyone who hunts, do you know someone that can teach you the basics of shooting? This would be someone that could help get you involved in a training session and then progress to the sport of hunting.

day 1: take a hunters' safety course and buy a hunting license.

day 2: buy a .22 from a pawn shop and go to a shooting range - practice at 50 yards all day long, remember what you learned the previous day

day 3: realize how expensive it is to buy land - look for a hunting lease in the paper

day 4: more shooting practice with the .22 at the shooting range...

day 5: find a hunting lease that you can afford and sign up....

day 6: buy a truck more shooting practice...

day 7: buy a Remington 870 express 12 ga. shotgun...

day 8: go to lease and shoot some skeet.... practice shooting birds with shotgun, practice shooting rabbits with the .22.....

good luck.
