Go to Walmart and get a Daisy Red Rider bb gun and start practicing your shooting skills first. Make sure you get eye protection so you dont shoot your eye out. Let us know when you have that down then we will go from there.

ardodson, thanks for your sugges. bb gun seems like starting from ABC. I would like to go in 2008. If i want to buy a rifle and go to places where you can practice target. what do you think about it? plus any segges what type/ model of rifle i should buy?

Please post to this forum the exact dates, times and locations (GPS co-ords if you have them) where you plan on hunting......because I want to be as far away from that location and you as possible. Seriously, if this is a serious post, you should start off with a hunters safety course and it sounds like you dont know a darn thing about guns, hunting, etc. Try the Red Rider.

Mohammad, just let me know what county you finally decide to go hunting in. I'd prefer to be nowhere around there. You've never fired a firearm, you don't know the first thing about hunting or firearm safety, yet you want to be out in the field with a high powered rifle in a month. Please stay far, far away from Concho and Hunt counties. I don't care how "exceptional" you think you are.

well if this is serious then i would recomend some heavy training night and day with a person who is certified to do so, but hunting trainers are usually completely booked by this time of year,so better luck next year. if you do find someone willing to do this for you ,then you would still need to take the tpw course also. then find a lease, as far as gear i would not worry about anything more than long johns and a heavy coat for emergency purpose's. it would be highly recomended that you wear a bell around your neck as to warn other hunters especially on public land that you do not have any real world experience in the field and you are armed(also covered from head to toe in hunter orange would be nice) there will probably be the need for a full time hunting partner with you ,who will hold the rifle until it is deemed safe for you to fire once a target presents itself (hopefully a four legged seasonal creature). this person will also be there to show you how to tag your game and to teach you how to gut it and take a bite out of the liver (rent Red Dawn for further instruction in this matter) then once you have learned the basic core value's of hunting you will move onto the other levels with in 5 to 10 years depending on knowledge retention. basically you will have to learn the way most everybody on here had to learn before there adult supervisor turned them loose on the hunting world after in most case's a decade of practice,observation,years of ribbing from other hunting friends and family,practical joke's,and so on. it's not as simple as just picking up a rifle or bow and heading into the field. unless you went to law school and even then there is a lot of unwritten laws and practice's you need to understand even after you master your weapon of choice to use in the field. accidents happen all the time in the field with so called experienced hunters.

Join the US military services. They can help you learn how to shoot. Or at least give you a rather quick lesson on how they shoot.
