I'm looking for a place to hunt pheasant. I moved to Del Rio from Idaho a couple of years ago and have been out quail hunting a couple times w/minimal success. I have a German Wirehaired Pointer that is an excellent hunter. I've heard there were wild pheasant in northern texas. I'd really like to make a trip up there to check it out. I'd like to find a place to hunt. If you know anyone that hunts pheasants or has property that I could pay to hunt on please let me know. Any help would be appreciated....Thanks....gary

contact the little town of lazbuddie texas, they have a fund raiser type deal. A lot of farmers up that way will "donate" land for the area chamber of commerce to lease out to phesant hunters, last year it was $200 for the season.

I feel your pain dude. I moved down here from Nebraska back in 1989. I have been a handful of times up into the panhandle but it just wasn't the same. Good luck wish I could be more help. We scheduled a hunt with a ranch east of Abilene that releases semi-wild birds for Nov. Hope it ends up being all that I remember.

Look up the Hart Texas Lions Club. They have a great pheasant hunt set up every year. Call Sue, she can be reached most times at the city hall of Hart, Texas. In fact she will probably be the one to answer the phone.

I've got an uncle and aunt that live in hart I may have to give them a call.

Ive searched and cant find the outfitter that was running day hunts last year in the Panhandle..Everything on here was good reports about their service and how many birds they have..Im sure he will be back soon to post for this season..there were several THF guys that went on hunts with him and all were pleased..
