Can anybody recommend a good hide tanning guy around Houston? I am parting with my current source and need someone who will do Buffalo hides on a regular basis. Thanks.

I wish I could help. The only place I know to refer you to, would be South TX Fur Dressers in Victoria. The tannery itself. I have used them for a few years now and are always willing to work with me on anything that is within their ability. They are a little more pricey (on my part) than some other tanneries but their quality is well worth it.
Quality Fur Dressers in Spring TX would be closer for you. Although I have not personally had anything done there. Billington Ranch could probably point you in a better direction than I can in that area. I kinda rambled.... Sorry if it wasn't any help.

Quality fur is who does or use to do my fathers stuff, hes done taxidermy work for the last 28 years or so and isnt far from there but he is getting out of it. I will ask him tomorrow whos the best in the area for you and post it back.

Quality will not help you unless you are a taxi with an tax ID #, and then be prepared to wait....
