I drove right by there office today,I go through all the time.I I think you are getting late to start the process.Look on the haggermans website. I know one thing if you do get drawn its worth it.I don.t bow hunt so I just drive thru and look.

I have already been drawn. But now I need to take the proficiency test that is required. Looking for a spot to take it. Sounds like CCR is going to have it there.

I qualified at the Refuge Road archery range but I don't know if it's even there now. I went down Refuge Road all the way from 289 through Hagerman a week ago to launch a boat and didn't see a sign for it anywhere.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Hagerman Archery Qualifier, Cinnamon Creek Ranch (CCR) 13 July 2013, 0900am. Address- 13794 Old Denton Rd., Roanoke, TX 76262. North Fort Worth, east of Interstate 35W, close to Cabela’s and Alliance Airport.
First- big thanks to Kyle at CCR for making this possible.
Range officers will be TPWD Bowhunter Education instructors, CCR personnel, and Hagerman NWR staff. Start times are sharp, we aren’t going to backtrack for late arrivals.
Registration/payment will be in the CCR Pro-Shop starting at 0900. Fee- $25.00 for the qualifier (normal range fee). TPWD and Hagerman staff will not be collecting fees.
We will gather at the pavilion (you pass it on the way to the Pro-Shop) at about 0915 for some paperwork. We’ll kick-off with welcome and introductions at 0930, Rick Cantu (Hagerman staff) will provide @30 minutes of a Hagerman review, rules, schedule, etc. Then we’ll do about 15 minutes of range rules and advice for new 3D shooters. Hopefully split into groups and shooting at 1030 am.
We’ll be shooting 14 or 15 targets, maximum of 30 yards, modified ASA/IBO rules. 10/8/5/0 scoring (no 11/12/14). Passing will be 80%- you must average a score of 8 on each target. If a shooter does not meet the 80%, we can hang around for another round but will cap it at a maximum of two rounds.
Rangefinders will be allowed. If you are using a rangefinder share the range with others in your group if asked. Binoculars are welcome.
We will not follow IBO/ASA equipment rules, shoot a safe hunting bow. No broadheads.
Part of our intent providing this opportunity is for archers that either wondered what 3D is about and/or what does the Hagerman qualification entail. We’re not experts at shooting and 3D, but I feel we can give enough pointers to help a backyard/ hunting shooter pass a qualifier. We can’t teach you how to shoot in 15-30 minutes; you need to have that ability prior to the shoot. You will earn your qualification, no freebies.
I’d like to have a firm count of attendees NLT 8 July so I can keep an accurate count making sure we have enough range officers/ work out an alternate plan. Questions Doug cell- 817-223-2839.
