FINALLY, we finished our new fire pit. Now we can set around the fire during hunting season and tell tall stories over a few cold ones.
Not fancy but it will work

Looks good! All it need now is a piece of supported expanded metal and you can tell stories, drink beer, and grill meat. up

We have used landscaping blocks like this before and they have worked well.
No tractor wheel or metal liner, just plain old dirt bottom.
We stagger the blocks to allow some air flow, seems to help keep the fire buring better

That's pretty nice, need a fire pit like that for the back yard. Nothing beats sitting around the fire getting mesmerized by those dancing flames!
