About a 4 - I've been known to take the family to the lease for thanksgiving rather than stay home. Mom could do wonders with that old camper kitchen!

I have only hunted 51 days in 2013 to this point, so I guess on this scale I am a 3.6. I am pretty sure most of the guys claiming 4 or higher must have more time than I....

Not everyone gets to hunt exotics.

I would put anyone who hunts 3/4 or more of their available time during season a 4

Never really thought about it. Hunting is just something I do. I don't know if I can put a number on it.

September through January I'm in the dove field, opening weekend of pheasant, or duck blind when not at work or church. FYI I have time to limit on ducks before church starts, and show up in cammo and waders. Still get strange looks from time to time. I guess that rates me a 3+.

I resemble this quote, actually I consider myself pretty accomplished at both hunting and golf and only a decent fisherman. 30 years ago when I was fishing Baffin Bay nearly every weekend outside of hunting season, I would have considered myself an excellent fisherman for my age.
Anyhow, I'm probably about a 3.75 though if I was single without wife and two young kids, I would be a 7.

Tx, good thing you know nothing of which you speak...but you definitely have the right to have a worthless opinion.

4 I guess. I love it and like to do it seriously when I go. Hunt about 10 days out of every month or maybe more depending on the season.

Just doing it for fun now.

Not that mad at them any more, killed so many in my younger days.I would rather hunt Mule deer. Have killed 160+ white tail, and to shoot one now he must be walking backwards because his rack was so big. Love big Mulies, lot of fun hunting them.

Somewhere in between 3.5 and 3.9.
I will put family first before hunting.
Prefer to take others hunting than do it myself. I'm at a stage where I like to watch game more than hunt it most of the time.
I dont have an interest in keeping up a lease more than 1 hour away because I just like to be near where I live to go as much and often as I please. Easy enough for me since I don't live in the city so every day I'm always carrying a rifle or shotgun or some type of firearm with me and shooting something every week. From snakes at the pond to meat for the table to hogs at night at the farm and varmints such as coyotes, fox or bobcat. Some may call some of it hunting because they go and do that somewhere 4-5 hours away on a weekend. For me its every day of my country life. I call it just part of my life as its always been and it sometimes is an actual necessity to do it rather than a will. But none of it comes before family.

Curtis, it sounds like you have your priorities right. I am sure if I had the opportunity to live in the country I would hunt more but living 3 hours from my lease does not really provide that opportunity. So perhaps if I did live in the country hunting would come before golf but since I live in DFW and the club is only 19 minutes away golf is before hunting.

4.5 cause I could go more but I miss a lot of things and take all three weeks vacation for hunting and take a furlow for the months of November and December to hunt. Usually a couple different states and have a taxidermy bill at any given time of the year. The only thing that interferes is the boys baseball games all over the US but we usually sneak in some fishing where ever we are. This week in Houston so its shark fishing in Galveston later, its not hunting but it ain't TV either.

How is it possible to rank golf higher than hunting? How does golf even rank at all? I live 15 minutes from Sugar Tree, and 2 1/2 hours from my deer lease. Golf doesn't even register on the radar of things to do when I'm bored and there's no season open.

Galveston has some terrific golf courses.
