How many THF members are entering into the draw to hunt Hagerman this year? dont you have enough bone on your place? geeze, the greed of hunters these days....and i am still working on my cert bussy, not sure if it will happen this year though. my money says the applications will have slight increase after a few recent news stories. and TT85, aint no fences or feeders up there, how's your tactics?

If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I don't think trophy is use to humping a climber 4 miles

I live in Pottsboro and don't bow hunt but I do drive through The Hagerman quit a few times during there season.I have one friend that has been drawn at least 6 times over the last 20 years. He has killed several deer. There is lots of hogs. I saw some people using mountain bikes to go in on last season ,thought that was neat. Stopped by the headquarters and saw one of the staff working on a good buck ,tall heavy but not wide enough,They got the deer he got the fine. If I was a bow hunter I would sign up and try get one of those trophys,Good luck

I want too but I dont have the bowhunters ed that they require and I cannot find anyone around my area to take it.
I went to HS with one of the Grayson GW's. He recently moved there from Webb County. He told me a few months back that the biggest deer in the state are in Hagerman.
I avoid Dick's and hope they fold.

Well I must say I tend to lean on the side of wanting as many opportunities as I can get. And hey 200 inches just ain't doin it for me anymore. Lol! Jk.

Good luck! If you expect to kill a big buck, you need to be patterning the deer almost every morning and/or evening for a few weeks before your hunt. Hagerman is like Texoma. Texoma has a lot of fish but if you don't pattern them, you could be spending a lot of time fishing empty water. Hagerman has a lot of deer...same analogy. The importance of that is that you can fish Texoma every day. You only have a few days to hunt Hagerman.
Take a chill pill (figuratively) before you go because you're likely to see a lot more hunters than deer unless you find that sweet spot no one else has found.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.
