I have a stevens 200 in 7mm-08. I was going to get a new stock for it and it turns out my Dad has a choate that he doesn't like. It's currently sitting on a savage model 12 22-250 with the heavy bull barrel. My question is will that stock fit my stevens? I think the action screws are the same distance apart but my gun has the regular sporter barrel while the 22-250 has the bull barrel.

I don't smoke ,so I can't say but I highly doubt it. I do know a loud fart works! I think they like the smell plus I guess they think it's a buck grunt.

I have been looking for a stock for my stevens. As far as I know, as long as the screw spacing is the same, it should work. You will have a gap around the barrel, but you can just call it free-floated.

Let me know how you like that Choate, I may try one soon.
