I have fallow and axis and blackbuck in an area of 220 acres high fenced. there is a pair of coyote inside the area. I need to get rid of them . will the deer get into or be hurt by the leg traps ?? any information on how to get them out ??

F and T fur traders can be look up on line for trapping supplies. You can set the trap were a deer will not be able to get to it. Dig about a 6" deep hole on a 45 degree angle and add bait and some coyote urine. 6-8 inches from the hole, set the trap in a slight dip in the dirt and cover with shifted dirt. Put two limbs a few feet long making a V from the front of the trap opening in the other direction.

I wish I was closer, I'd come help you for free. If you want to do it yourself, I recommend a "Collarum". I used one this past winter with good results. The downside is the cost, @ $76 per. And they are no kill, bite triggered, snares. Youre not likely to catch a deer, but if you did it wouldn't kill it. Good luck! Oh, here's the website : http://www.wildlifecontrolsupplies.com/M...Collarum-Models
Mmmm Hmmm

Go to any trap supply store online like Sullivan's and order a couple offset rubber jaw #3 traps if a deer was to get into them they're alot more likely to slip right out of them unharmed and they will still hold a yote. Just my .02

Deer should be no problem..... spook em at worst.. urine post set would work well........one for male and one type for female to catch her squating and peeing, camp fire set would work too. Find where they are moving in the brush or through the fence and use snares w/ deer stops...

Ide use yote urine with a foothold trap. Spray the urine on tree trunk about coyote high. Put your hand in a fist put it on the tree trunk where your elbow is will be where you should place the trap. Dig a hole for the trap to sit in. Make sure it is level if it wobbles it can spook the yote. Take some wax paper or old screen place it over the pan and springs sift dirt and grasses over it to make it look natural. Be as scent conscious as you can. Dont forget to anchor the trap.

Buy LARGE trebel hooks at Walmart hang them about 4 ft off the ground and bait with raw meat. I used to hunt a ranch that "trapped" that way and never saw a deer caught. Just another option.
