I found a spot this last weekend covered in flocks of teal, I hunted it again this am, and all I saw were 3 blue wings, which I took. It seems like they must have moved out, How can an area be covered in hundreds one day and none the next? It sure would be nice if another cold front would push more down before the weekend.

ha that's how teal are. It's not uncommon in the early teal season.

I had a great first hunts, then this morning i brought a buddy and we saw one group of about 6 birds. Gave us a look but not enough to call the shot on. That was at first light, then didnt seee another teal all morning.

Sounds like everyone had a crappy day

My day wasn't so bad, I went out with Randy, plenty of birds, we put 5 in the bag. We could have easily shot our limit but something about a 20ga and a skeet tube just makes things more interesting...

We had 3 singles come in and only saw two other small groups.

Do we need another front to push more birds down to North TX or has the majority already made their way south?

You mean rainbow teal? They are illegal?

Hopefully thats good for me down south. I'll be crossing my fingers saturday morning. Sounds like teal hunting can be hit or miss.

Thats how it works with all hunting! They are either there in big number or no number.
