Dogs started barking on the front porch. Walked outside and swept the spotlight across the yard and thought they were just being a pain. Turned around to see this guy. Had to chase him through a gutter but he is caged for tonight.

It amazes me how well they can climb and get into places you'd never expect.

Glad he is yours and not mine, my wife would have us moving.

Believe it is a gray rat snake.
One of the dogs ignores it now that it is in a cage and the other dog stays alert and jumps when anything brushes against her when she is staring at it.

Had one about that size on my kitchen countertop one night. Scared the stuff out of my wife. I had no idea how he could have gotten in. Now I know, damn things must have some kind of superhero utility belt. I relocated him.

My BIL has one that lives in the shop. No squirrels, rats or mice since he has moved in. He earns his keep so he gets a pass.

Found one in a cabinet down in the shop a while back. I guess he wandered in while the doors were open. Scared the pee out of me when I opened the cabinet door. Caught it and turned it loose behind the shed....
